Consider starting with a personal trainer
A personal trainer can help you get started with a work out, so you can learn what muscles to work, and how to work them properly. Focusing on core and balance are essential to any riding event, using medicine balls, crunches, sit-ups, pull-ups and weight lifting are few things that target that are. Make more exercises daily
Although having a horse and riding automatically brings your body some kind of work out, such as carrying heavy bails, saddles, bags of grain, and riding is a work out alone.
