Why put your bathers away for the winter? There are a number of heated swimming pools in Cheyenne that offer swimming all year round. Over the past few weeks Mother Nature has brought the city of Cheyenne snow, winds and chilly weather. For some, this weather results in the lack of motivation or inability to go outside for a run. At the City Swimming Pools, there are many options for those wishing to continue their workout routine even when it’s dark, snowing and cold outside. One specialty area of the City Swimming Pools are its pools and some find the warm water the perfect answer to a cold day.
Overview
There are two City Swimming Pools available for public use:
- The Municipal Pool is a year-round indoor pool located in Lions Park at Carey Avenue and Kennedy Road.
- Johnson Pool is a heated, outdoor pool located in Lincoln Park at 812 1/2 House Avenue. Contact the pool for information on pool rentals, swim lessons and joining the swim team.
No pain, plenty of gain from water workouts
You can also find information about working as a Swim Lesson and Water Exercise Instructor and/or a Certified Lifeguard for the Aquatics Division.

The Eagles lost a heartbreaker to Garden City Community College by 1 point on Monday night. The game was tied 60 – 60 and all the Eagles had to do was hang on to the ball for one more possession, but unfortunately they turned the ball over and the Broncbusters ended up winning the game.
